Boston Gadsby, Class of 2025, decided to take a polaroid picture for every day of senior year. Before school had started, Boston had posted on his Instagram story, asking if he should take a Polaroid every day of senior year. He received a tremendous amount of people saying he should do it. Ever since the first day of school, he would post each Polaroid picture to his Instagram story, each with the day number in the story.
“What initially inspired me to take on this project was a series I saw on TikTok a couple of years ago where he took a polaroid every day of senior year, and his story just really inspired me,” Senior Boston Gadsby said, “He inspired me because I could tell he was passionate and it was a unique and memorable way to spend his senior year of high school.”
Boston has always been a very extroverted and social person; he always finds some way to connect with everybody. Because of this compassion, Boston ran for Class of 2025 President and won with an overwhelming amount of votes.
With this idea in mind, Boston got to work making a memorable polaroid for everyone to see. Boston would take different polaroids of him at work, with friends, and at school. Every picture would be posted to his story for all his classmates to see.
This isn’t even the first time Boston had done a similar journey. For Boston’s Junior year, he would publish a multi-picture post on his Instagram profile for each week of the school year. These posts would gain a lot of attention from his classmates, which made them more excited to see what Boston would do for this new project.
Unfortunately, a sudden turn of events occurred.
“My polaroid broke and I lost inspiration to continue the project,” Boston said. While he won’t be able to complete the journey, he hopes that this idea “inspire[s] future seniors, and not even just seniors but anyone who’s interested in doing a similar project.” While this idea won’t be able to be completed this year, it is a great opportunity and journey to have with those around you, regardless of your year.

The quote that touched me was “What initially inspired me to take this project was a series I saw on a TikTok a couple of years ago, he took a Polaroid everyday of senior year, and his story really inspired me” Senor Boston Gadsby said. That quote really touched and inspired to a Polaroid too!!

It’s honestly really upsetting that this journey won’t be completed this year. I think that this is a really unique way to commemorate the last year of high school and something you could look back on in the future.

I like how there was a twist at the end in the story even though it’s sad he didn’t get to finish the project.

I like the wordplay in the title, and I’m glad you talked about it because it seems like a story not a whole lot of people would write about!

The overall topic caught my eyes because taking a polaroid everyday requires you to do something every single day.

I think that this was a really good story and I like how you went into detail about how Boston decided to take a polaroid picture everyday. I think it shows that Boston just wanted to create memories because this is the last year that he will be at greenway.
