Are you interested in joining Link Crew? Do you ever think to yourself how Link Crew members feel about introducing the new freshmen to Greenway High School? Here, we are introducing some of our best Link Crew coordinators, Link Crew members, and their thoughts on the questions asked to them.

Ms. Eyerly, Link Crew Coordinator.
If any freshmen would be interested in joining the Link Crew, what would you tell them to convince them more into joining?
-“I would tell them that Link Crew isn’t just about helping others. It’s also about discovering your own strengths. When students join as juniors or seniors, they learn leadership, teamwork, and communication skills that stay with them long after high school. Plus, it’s a chance to truly make a difference in the school’s culture by helping the younger students who look up to you.”
Mr. Yerger, Link Crew Coordinator.
What is the hardest part about the link crew?
-” Nothing about Link Crew is hard. We acquire superpowers because we believe in the miracles that come through positivity and thoughtful adjustment. All you have to say is, “Yes and . . . .” That phrase opens the door to people’s infinite genius, and that’s empowering. It’s amazing how people come together to make difficult work easy and rewarding. ”
Senior Abby Otten, Link Crew Leader.
As seniors, what is one key advice you would give freshmen who feel like they are alone?
– “Key advice for freshmen that think they are alone is that they can always reach out to any link leader or if they see them in the halls and they will 100% be more than willing to give them time and talk to them or help them through whatever it may be they are going through.”
Senior Yesenia Perez Ramirez, Link Crew Member.
How does it feel helping the new freshmen knowing that we were like them 3 years ago?
– “It honestly feels great being able to help the freshmen! It’s a little heartwarming being able to welcome in the new freshmen and remember the times when I was a freshman as well. It’s nerve-racking knowing I was once in their shoes.”
Senior Jacqueline Marmolejo Lopez, Link Crew Member.
As seniors, what is one key advice you would give freshmen’s who feel like they are alone?
– “My key advice for those who are lonely is to just go for it. You only have 4 years to experience the somewhat last school years of your life, so you may as well make it the best it can be. As someone who struggled personally with that, I have a lot of regret for not taking my chances, so it’s best to just let go and not care what others think about you.”
