The Perkatory is a restaurant next to the cafeteria. It helps the students with seeing how an actual restaurant is run and how stressful it can be.

The person who runs it is Mr. Dudo, and he said “My goal was always to focus on hands-on learning rather than the traditional book, notes, tests, and quizzes approach.” For the hospitality classes he teaches the students and he goes there to cook what they are learning about. Perkatory is open for lunch hours to serve the campus other food options like chopped cheese or grilled cheese. Mr. Dudo worked in the cooking business before he went to teach education, so when Greenway was getting renovations he got to help design it.

Mr. Bridwell said “On a busy Thursday early in the school year, I was in desperate need of some caffeine, and as a coffee drinker, I prefer to get my caffeine via the soothing dark flavor you can only find in an Americano”…” Mr. Dudo not only hooked me up with the best Americano I could find, he even paid for it, and the student workers were better than any coffee shop employees you can find. He enjoyed his coffee and commended the workers in the Perkatory because of how hard they work.

Ms. Braun said “I really like Perkatory! It’s a fun space, and it’s important that students have spaces to hang out during lunch and other times, too. The tables are large, so more kids can be together, and it’s good for games or homework too”. She points out how big the Perkatory is and how it is easy to do work in there.
