Have you ever wondered what your fellow seniors are specializing in after high school? Here is are some examples of future plans:
First, Camila Borquez Moreno

1.What career are you doing or planning to pursue after high school?
“The career I am planning to pursue after high school is to become a CVT Specialist (Certified Veterinary Technician), more specifically in emergency medicine, also going to NAU to get my BS in Biology.
2. What does someone in this career do on a daily basis?
“What CVT does on a daily basis- is assist veterinarians during surgeries and medical procedures. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. Monitor and record vital signs of animals under anesthesia or in hospital care.”
3.Did anything inspire you to enter this career?
“Yes- my childhood dog of 5 years sadly died of kidney failure in 2020 so during COVID, and the animal hospital we went to didn’t help us at all but instead made things worse. So I told myself from then I will be the one to help out any animal who is harmed or sick so what I went through- doesn’t happen to anyone else. (This got deep oops)”
4.What skills or education is needed for this career?
“Well to become a CVT first is to go to a tech school that is approved through NAVTA for either 2 or 4 years. Then, go into work but in what I want to specialize in which would be emergency medicine. Later, I will have to continue my education, then later take another big exam under a VTS Academy to get my license as a CVT Specialist.”
5.Do you have a backup career if your first one changes?
“My backup career would just be staying a CVT with no specialization.”
Second, Yesenia Perez Ramirez!

1.What career are you doing or planning to pursue after high school?
“I’m planning on becoming a tattoo artist or a graphic designer.”
2.What does someone in this career do on a daily basis?
“They design and plan out ideas to use in different forms of media. Tattoo artists, in specific, use their skills to design and tattoo their clients ideas onto their skin.”
3.Did anything inspire you to enter this career?
“No one necessarily inspired me to pursue this career, but just having the skill and passion to, hopefully, use my skills as an artist to bring others’ ideas to life. “
4.What skills or education is needed for this career?
“Some skills needed for this career are already a set style, having significant skills in drawing and developing designs. Often just a high school diploma is needed to work as an apprentice.”
5.Do you have a backup career if your first one changes?
” I do and it’s becoming a mechanic or working an office job. Maybe I’m becoming a graphic designer.”
Third, Phillip Pham!

1.What career are you doing or planning to pursue after high school?
“After high school I plan to pursue on becoming a pediatric nurse.”
2.What does someone in this career do on a daily basis?
“On a daily basis a pediatric nurse would check up on children ages up to 17 years old.”
3.Did anything inspire you to enter this career?
“I attend a program called west mec and I am doing medical assisting and throughout the 1st semester I was looking through what medical field I wanted to do and I really love to interact with children and see their growth so I wanted to go to the path of a pediatrician.”
Â
4.What skills or education is needed for this career?
“To become a pediatric nurse you would need to be a registered nurse by getting your bachelors degree and passing the NCLEX RN exam. You would also need to gain clinical experience and pass the pediatric nurse certification board.”
Â
5.Do you have a backup career if your first one changes?
“As a backup career if being a pediatric nurse is too much for me I would probably just be a nurse or a medical assistant.”
Â
Last but not least, Yousif Lazar!

“Lets see so I’m currently doing a career and in day trading and life insurance and its going great but I mainly want to become an anesthesiologist, and I’m currently going to school to become a Medical assistant, but if I start making more than a anesthesiologist in day trading and insurance.
I will probably skip on college but the career requirement for an anesthesiologist are 12 years of school and the requirements for day trading and insurance is a mindset to never give up and a lot of studying and learning how to trade on the market and communication. For insurance you have to obtain leads after that you call and flip their policy to save them money and make money, for day trading you get on the market and learn and study the charts to throw in a trade, for anesthesiology you help people with pain by performing surgeries and relieving their pain also by giving exercises and examples on how to minimize pain.
For insurance and day trading I have family that make tons of money off it which connections led me to it, Anesthesiology was a help thing I always wanted to help people who had pain and felt bad so I looked at the medical fields and realized I really liked anesthesia. No backup career other than those 3 because I know I won’t fail if I have the right mindset.”

It’s so cool seeing seniors who know there plan for after high school as many don’t. This gives hope to so many who might not have it all figured out yet.
