Do you remember your freshman year? Freshman year was a time of trying to figure out so many things out like who you are, what you want to do in high school, and after high school. It is a time when so many memories and friends are made. Freshman year holds a special place in many people’s hearts because it truly is a unique time. So I asked What is your favorite memory from freshman year? Here are some senior responses:
Maddie Banister’s quote: “My favorite memory from freshman year was Film Fest 2023 because it made me realize how much I liked Film & TV and that I wanted to retake it my sophomore year.”

I also asked Angie, and here’s what she said:” My favorite memory from freshman year was playing powder puff. It was such an amazing experience.”

Related to sports, Raven stated, “Freshman year basketball was the best. Our team got along really well, and we were on the same page every game. We had each other’s backs and played hard every time we hit the court. Practice was fun, games were even better. We weren’t just playing, we were out there having fun, and we made it count. Shout Out to Coach Fowler.”

And others have a good memory that was just a little embarrassing, as Zoie says, “My favorite memory from freshman year is when I was asked to the homecoming dance in front of the entire school, and it was so embarrassing, but at the same time, I loved it so much.”

Jadyn stated, “My best memory from freshman year was going to the football games. It was fun and exciting to meet new people, and I had some of my best moments there.”

Now that graduation is coming up, a lot of us seniors have been looking back on all our years at Greenway. It feels like time flew by so fast, and honestly, high school is way more than just classes and tests. If I could give one piece of advice to freshmen, it would be to make the most of every moment here. Get involved in sports, clubs, and school events. These are the things that make high school unforgettable and help you make great friends along the way.
Also, don’t forget to stay on top of your schoolwork. It might seem tough at times, but keeping up with classes early means senior year can be way less stressful. When that time comes, you’ll be able to relax and really enjoy all the fun moments that high school has to offer. So don’t rush, take your time, try new things, and make as many memories as you can, because before you know you’ll be looking back on all the good times.
