As well all know, our seniors are graduating in a little over a month. Let’s take a look into what the future holds for them and a quote from Mr. Amen about these memorable seniors.

“I’m going to be going to Saint John’s University in Minnesota, and I will be studying pre med. I wanted to go to this college to leave Arizona and get out. I loved the college while I was on the visit for them. I wanted to get into pre med because my dad is a doctor himself and I’ve always wanted to be a doctor for my whole life. I am going to play football at Saint John’s and see where it goes after college if it does at all, if it doesn’t then med school is my next step. I’ve been wanting to get into Orthopedic Surgery for sports med which is like fixing ACL tears for athletes. I want to stay close to sports while also staying in medicine and I think I will really enjoy it. When I graduate I think I’m going to go back home to Chicago for a little bit and see family before I go onto a cruise in Europe before I do nothing before leaving for college.” -Brady Knight

“I am committed to NAU and I’m majoring in Creative Film and Media Studies. I chose NAU because of the campus and the fun environment the school offers. I decided my major because of my passion for film. I have always loved film since I was a little kid. From making little Youtube videos about slime or littlest pet shop to now being one of the officers for the Film and TV class; I knew I made the right choice. I am hoping to continue sports in college, no matter if they are just intramural or competitive. I plan on getting into the film industry possibly as a DOP (Director of Photography) or maybe a smaller field like sound or props. I chose this path because the environment of a film set seems like so much fun and that is why at the beginning I am fine with being in any department on a set. I plan on visiting my mom in New Jersey after I graduate and to hopefully go on a road trip with my friends or family!” -Emma Sauerbrei

“I will be attending Glendale Community College, majoring in the new 4-year… Early Education and Special Education program. I’m attending this college because it will be completely free since I kept my grades up all 4 years of high school, along with FASA coming in hand. I’m picking this major because I want to give back and make a difference for the children who don’t get much attention. I wanted them to be loved like everyone else. No, I’m burnt out from sports, but I’m so forever grateful for my coaches and teammates. I am hoping to come back to Greenway and become a part of the Special Education Staff. I chose this path because for 2 years, I peer tutored for Coach Scott Mueller. The environment was wonderful I merged well with the students; they left a mark on me. Then I fell in love with the idea of being by their side through the toughest time of their life. Hopefully, yes, my friend group and I can take a grad trip!” -Raven Gayden

“I truly enjoyed my year coaching the senior girls in soccer this year. They were a great group and truly played for each other. The positivity of the group was contagious to the rest of the team. In my classes, it is always fun to see and hear the students learning. You can hear this in their questions and discussions about the topics we are going over. My AP Government class is pretty tight knit group. They have quite a bit of fun discussing issues and enjoy current issues.” -Mr. Amen
